Sarah's Wedding
The wedding went very well. Sarah Barker decorated the church beautifully! I don't have the pictures back yet but will post them as soon as I do! The photographer took lots and lots of pics from the ceremony until Sarah and Courtney left the building! Flew the Coop played for the wedding and that was fun to have them there and the little kids loved the music and they were all dancing, there were also a few adults doing a jig now and then! Jennifer did everyone's hair and it turned out beautiful. Sarah's hair was so very pretty on her day, Chad even had to tell her on Sunday when she picked up Keleigh how beautiful she looked at the wedding, I think that was so sweet. Chad walked her down the isle, and as he hugged her to give her hand to her groom he told her he loved her and she started to cry, which caused Chad and myself tears along with her sister Jennifer, then when the ceremony was over we went to say our congrats and Chad made her cry again, so it was an emotional day for sure. Keleigh had a feeling something was up that was really different I think, she looked very puzzled most of the evening. She did enjoy the band and she did some dancing herself!
We have lots of thank yous to send out. First of course to the decorator and her husband, who did a marvelous job, our sincere thanks! Then to Flew the Coop, thanks for bringing the fun! Special thanks to Jennifer & Brianne for taking over and doing so much and for being such a huge help with the clean up and loading of stuff, she was truly sent from heaven to help us! Thanks to Aunt Pat for doing all the chocolate covered strawberries and the beautiful frosted sugar cookies and she even did the frosting in Sarah's colors, so cute! Thanks to all those who helped in Courtneys family, his grandma Jolene was a huge help with the punch and the cookies and miscellaneous items as well as the money they gave us to help out! A huge thanks to Jodie Schofield and Robin Simmons for coming after the ceremony to help put away the chairs and keep the buffet table taken care of! Many thanks to all the sisters who provided the brownies, assorted cookies, and lemon bars at the reception. We just have the best ward, and so much thanks goes out to everyone who helped make this a great day, and provided us with many special memories.
The ceremony was about 6:30, Sarah walked down the isle with Chad to the new version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, once the ceremony was over it was photo op time. Sarah then had her first dance with her groom to a song he sent her one day a while ago, then her dad and daughter dance with Chad, it was a Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus song. Then there was some socializing, and cutting of the cake and more socializing! All in all it was a great evening. Sarah looked beautiful and happy and of course Courtney seemed happy too! They make a cute little couple and I'm so happy they set a goal and made it happen! Now their next goal is to be sealed in one year!
Pictures to come later!

We are blessed!
I just had to post a little something about how blessed we are! We have such wonderful family who are helping and offering help with Sarah's wedding and we are so blessed to have them in our lives. Jennifer is helping so much with ideas and cooking, love you dear daughter, Pat (Chad's sister really OUR sister cause I love her like a sister and I don't have any so it's nice to have her think of me as her sister too!) she is making a lot of goodies for the wedding reception, we love you Pat! Plus we have a wonderful ward family who have offered us lots of help with food, with decorations. Sarahs' visiting teacher Sara is doing the decorating for us, we really know we are blessed because Sunday she said can I help you I do weddings and we were thrilled for the offer, not just because we couldn't afford to do anything near as beautiful as she can do but because she has a ton of talent and creativity and she has all the stuff to make the cultural hall beautiful for Sarah's big day, now isn't that beyond kind! Our friend from years ago is going to help me with the wedding cake! We have great old friends from Texas, Oregon and Utah coming for a little bachelorette thing for Sarah. Sarah is getting excited and nervous but I think we are really going to be able to make this a beautiful day for her memory bank!
Old friends!
Yesterday Sarah and I went to Jennifer's to have lunch with some friends from about 15 years ago, well they are still great friends, we just hadn't seen them in a very long time! It was great to visit and catch up on our lives! Lunch was great! I hope we can keep in better touch from now on! Thanks Mary and Bethany for sharing time with us! I meant to take some photos but totally forgot because we were so caught up in our conversations! I'll have to find some old photos to post!

Bend, Oregon...beautiful little city!
Chad and I had a really good week in Bend, Oregon with Jim and Barb! We stayed at their cabin in Sun River and it was great! I will post more pics later. We enjoyed some yummy food and excellent hospitality from our family there! It was a good week. Chad checked out some business prospects and all went well. We had a good time together and did some reconnecting!

Counting down....20 days till Sarah's wedding day!
Here are a couple photos of Sarah's dress, we tried to do a few bridals but we're gonna have to give it another shot we think! I love her dress choice, it's very simple and elegant!
I'm excited for Sarah, I'm sad for me, but I'm happy for me, I'm sad because I'll miss Keleigh and Sarah so much, and of course since I'm moving to Oregon most likely, well I'll miss her even more! I'm excited because Sarah is moving on with her life, she has found someone to share her life with, and a father for Keleigh. I'm happy at the same time because of all the above reasons, I mean this is what life is supposed to be, we go find someone to share our life with, and we leave our parents right? Still I've had Sarah around a long time almost 28 years! Keleigh for 14 months + the 9 months Sarah carried her and I anticipated her birth with Sarah. I'm excited to see Sarah in a place of her own! Like in an earlier post, life's a changing!
We're getting more and more prepared for the wedding, still have lots to do but working on it! Sent out invitations this past week! Sarah doesn't want a big wedding, she isn't the showy kinda girl, she doesn't want a lot of people looking at her, so she prefers a more intimate affair. She did her invitations all herself! I'm glad it's going to be small that way I don't have to cook as much! Still we have lots to do to get really ready. She is having her little bachelorette thing on Thursday or Friday night before the wedding, a little personal shower on the other night and some special events leading up to her big day! She has friends she made while in school in Oregon and they are coming in for the events, she's so excited! I'll post more later with photos!
