Catching up!

Well it's been a while since I actually posted so I thought I should do a catch up post! So we stayed in Bend for the holidays. Jim and Barb had us over for Thanksgiving and it was really yummy! We had a wonderful time. Chad and Jim did some cross country skiing while Barb and I had a little relaxing and conversation! What wonderful family we have here in Bend, they take good care of us! We also went out to their cabin for Christmas dinner on Christmas eve we had a wonderful duck, wow what a yummy bird! Barb and I decorated the Christmas tree, I love her collection of ornaments what eclectic collection! All in all our holidays were really nice.

I had been sick since November first with a flu then the shingles hit and that was really miserable thru Christmas but the meds helped me get thru it. The doctor said it was very likely all the stress. I sure have had my fill of stress for the last 3 years and I guess taking 19 hours of classes just sent me right over the top and activated the shingles. Then the flu hit again in February...Chad got it and of course I wanted my share apparently so I got it again!

We went to Utah in late January for a few days to take care of some things. Chad didn't stay headed right back home but I stayed for a few days and then Sarah and Keleigh brought me home! We have sure enjoyed having them here visiting! Keleigh just wants to go home mostly, but we have had some fun :)

January and February we had several family birthdays. Amy turned 15! Lexi turned 13! Jody, Rona and Heather also had birthdays in January, and I can't believe my oldest child is now 37! We also have a nephew Eric Petersen celebrating his birthday on the 9th!

February brought Chad's birthday along with my mom and Courtney and a niece Julia also had her 18th birthday!I also have a niece who would have celebrated her 31st birthday February 17th, Jamie is a precious angel baby for the past 31 years.

I've been working on completing my last class for my degree and cannot wait until it is finally finished!

Chad has done a lot of cross country skiing (with Bella)and some working along with his band gigs! He is having a great time, he really loves living in Oregon, I am pretty sure he will never leave Oregon!

So that is an update for the past 3 months! I'll try to do better!

The answer to be revealed!!

I just wanted to post that I am really excited to find out what my next grandchild is going to be! Sarah has her doctor appt. on the 28th and she will be 20 weeks so we will know what she is having then, although the doctor said at her last appointment that his "impression" was a girl!! Sarah really wants another girl, and frankly so do I!! I think sisters are so nice. I don't have one of my own but would sure have loved to have one when I see how sisters are together, a best friend for always! So I am really hoping that Keleigh is going to get her best friend with the birth of my next grandchild! It's very exciting really! Can't wait! Will post photos next week!
