Thanksgiving in Utah!

Excited to get to see some of the grandbabies! Yep spending Thanksgiving in Utah :) well as long as the weather holds and we can make the trip! :) Will be there for a few birthdays and early Christmas celebrations :) Back home for Christmas at the cabin with Jim & Barb :) Loving life :)

Giving Thanks

I am thankful this year for my family every one of them, whether near or far. I am thankful for my daughters who check on me always and worry about us and think of us daily, thank you Jennifer, Sarah & Tina! I love yall! I am thankful for my son in laws for taking good care of my daughters and my grandchildren, and for caring about this old mother in law! I am thankful for Jake too he isn't a son in law but a son and he is a great daddy to 3 more of my grandchildren and we have really gotten closer in understanding each other and I am so very grateful for that! I am grateful to have good sons, who have grown up into incredible men and loving, caring fathers. I am thankful they married their soul mates and those soul mates and that they are wonderful mothers to my grandchildren. I am thankful for my beautiful grandchildren each and every one of them! I love them dearly they are the reward for raising children and all the hard work that is, the reward far outweighs the time and effort and work put into that very important job!
I am thankful for my siblings those which I was blessed to be born into the same family and those I got as a bonus when I married Chad! I am especially grateful to Jim and Barb for all they do for us! I am thankful for all of my very dear and loving friends, those I grew up with and those I have met along the way. I am thankful for the connection we all share, many really feel like my family and I love you all dearly.
I am thankful for a mother who raised me to be self reliant and be a problem solver, but I am most grateful for a Father in Heaven who actually solves all my problems, even when I don't know what my next step should be and especially when I do not understand or have a clue what to do and he guides me with inspiration and helps me continue to hope, without him I would be absolutely nothing.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and realizes what a wonderful blessing we have in this life no matter what our lot in life.

Our Summer

well left for Utah on the 6th of July...to help Sarah prepare for the birth of Bryler...he joined us on the 14th of July!!

We had a really good time spending time with kids and grandkids...back and forth between Sarah & Courtney's, Jennifer & Scott's, and Jake & Tina's homes...time sure flew but we loved every minute of it! We didn't get to visit all the kiddos on this trip what with the baby being born and then back in the hospital when he was only 8 days old...he is doing much better now and we are surely grateful to Heavenly Father for taking care of our newest addition Bryler!! Wish we could have visited with more of our family this trip but we just ran right out of time :( maybe next time and we will post photos asap!

He's here!! Bryler Graham Larsen!

Born today at 8:05 am! Bryler came into the world crying loudly so everyone knew he was finally here, all 8lb 10 oz and 20.5 inches of this beautiful little boy!

July Birthday Wishes!

First we are going to welcome a new grandbaby to our family on the 14th of July, Bryler Graham Larsen will be joining us that day if he doesn't decide to make his appearance sooner than that! We are excited to have a new little one in our midst!

56!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep I am 56 today...it was a great birthday, heard from all my kiddos, had lots of birthday wishes via facebook, and Chad took me to breakfast (it was fantastic), and he bought me the coolest Nike flip flops and the perfect red purse (red is my fav color)! Then we rented a movie, I wanted to see and Chad did bbq for dinner...great day!! I love love love my family and friends!

Exciting times ahead...

I'm really excited to hold another newborn baby! Sarah will find out tomorrow what day exactly will be her delivery date...tentatively it is July 14th! Headed to Utah on July 6th and staying until August 3rd! We're so excited to meet the little fellow!
Bryler Graham Larsen is his name...(unless someone changes her mind when she sees him??) Doctor says Bryler is about 7lbs already, thinks this will be a big boy!

Family Time!

We had a great time with family the weekend of the 10th! Patti and Brent drove in from Utah on Thursday night and Gary came in from Idaho on Friday! We all gathered at Jim's cabin at Sun River and it was so very nice to spend time with them! We enjoyed each others company, had some great food, and worked out the family business...

Jim fixed everyone his Biltmore breakfast on Saturday morning and it was delicious! He did salmon with berries and polenta with salsa and a yummy berry breakfast drink that was all amazing! We had steaks on Saturday night with a couple salads I made, tabouli salad and an Italian pasta salad and dessert was a berry pie I made with blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries and yes peaches!! I made a Banana Nut Ginger Bread that everyone loved and raved about, I love to cook especially when people like what I create!

The guys enjoyed kayaking and canoeing everyday of the weekend...Chad was really sore but was not about to let Jim show him up! Gary said he didn't mind who showed him up, he quit when he had enough! There was lots of talk about global warming...and not everyone was in agreement...but on the family business everyone was agreeable :)

It was so good to see all the brothers and sister..and enjoy visiting...what a wonderful family I am blessed to be a part of!!

JUNE---Some Important Birthdays to Note!! :)

Yessiree it is my birthday month! The 26th of June 1955 I blessed the lives of my parents entering their lives as their first child!

I also need to say a Happy Birthday to brother Gary (Chad's brother, I have a brother named Gary too but his birthday is next month)!

First Adventure of the Season!~

We took a ride over to the coast and camped at Beachside State Park, it was great. However we did make a grand entrance. Chad got off the bike and I was going to get off and boom the bike fell on me catching my leg underneath, took a few nice campers to lift it off me, bruised but not broken :) We spent 2 very nice days listening to the ocean roll...Chad and Bella played a lot of keep away with a stick, very funny to watch! We then went to the Rogue River and camped where on arrival I promptly fell, landing very hard on my chest and cracking a rib! It really hurt :( it still hurts, takes about 6 weeks to heal...but I really enjoyed being away with Chad and Bella in spite of the accidents :) Photos will arrive shortly!
