Happy Birthday Gary!

Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to my brother Gary! He is the big 50 this year!

Wedding colors!

Well Sarah has decided on colors, watermelon and tangerine! She is having a Hawaiian theme wedding in our backyard! We have lots of work to do to make our yard look like a Hawaiian garden! But we have some ideas, if anyone has some ideas to offer that would be grand! We bought the dresses for her girls and we have a list of things to work on! Chad likes her "simple" idea because he doesn't have to wear a tux! She is going with the Hawaiian wedding shirts and khaki slacks with sandals for the guys, easy huh, Chad thinks it is a marvelous idea. She wants to use orchids and lilies for her flowers, in the orange and bright pinks, watermelon colors, Sarah has loved orange since she was a little girl so it is only fitting that it be in her wedding colors! I'll post pictures as soon as I can of all of the goings on! This is a really exciting time in our life, the last two of our unmarried children are joining the ranks of the married, they both just became mothers recently and now weddings, we are so happy for them!

Got the dress!!!

We found Sarah the perfect wedding dress today! It is so pretty and she won't let me post the picture I took of her in it because "her hair wasn't fixed" oh my what a shame! blah. Anyway we found it at Davids bridal,and she looks beautiful! I can post a pic of what her ring looks like!

Sarah is engaged!!!! :)

Well today we were told Sarah is getting married!!! We are happy for her although we will miss Keleigh so so much! I guess she could just leave her with us!!! :) Will post more when I know more details, oh the wedding will be September 26, 2009! I do know that, and we have a lot of yard work to do because she wants to do it at home, thank heavens she wants "simple"!!! I will post engagement photos as soon as I have one!

33 HOURS to a Bachelors Degree!!!!!

I just realized how close I am to my degree!! I am going to take 18 hours in the fall and spring so I can graduate in MAY 2010!!! I am so excited I can't even believe it! I have always wanted to go to school and get a degree and now it really is happening for me! I have maintained a great GPA all the while, it is a 3.82 now and I'm hoping will only go up! I'm know it sounds like bragging, well it is! I am just so happy about it, it has been a hard road at my age, and working full time while going to school a lot of full time semesters! So look for invitations in the mail in 2010!!

Jennie's Bridals!

We went to Memory Grove today (Jennie, Gretchen, Macey, Sarah, Keleigh and me) and did a photo shoot with Jennie for her bridals. It was so hot but I think we got some great shots. I can't post any right now, Jennie wants them to be a surprise! Anyway I'm busting at the seems to post but I won't :). I will post one of Keleigh and Macey playing while we waited on dress adjustments!

Letting go...

I was just thinking how hard it is not to have all of our family with us, sometimes I think that idea of the Ewings (you know, remember Dallas, the series wayyyy back) anyway they got to be around each other all the time, and when they fought, they either had to get over it or deal with it. I think that if people deal with things out right their lives would be better, longer and happier by far. I guess I have learned with age, life is short, and you don't have time to stew in your anger, so let it go. I wish everyone was just straight up, face it and then leave it behind! Because what happens happens, I mean what's done is done, and we don't forget, well until we get Alzheimers! But forgiving and letting go is another thing. We can face the fact we ALL have faults, none of us are perfect (and if we think we are we are the least perfect), so why not let go and enjoy each others company for the time given here in this life? This is the reason I have tried really hard in the past several months to just let go of all the bad stuff, I guess the thing I have the hardest time with is the fact that others cannot or will not let go as well. Life could be so full of happiness if we all could just realize this concept. I want peace and happiness and it is hard for me to understand when others don't. Anyway just my thoughts. Wedding Plans!

Jennie and Matt's wedding plans are coming along. We are going to do engagement and bridal portraits tomorrow, I'm excited to take the photos for them! We are going to SLC to a really cool spot! I'm doing the cake, which is gonna be a lot of fun, as I haven't done this in years! Way back in my past life, I did some wedding cake baking, and decorating, so this is gonna be a lot of fun. I found paisley shaped pans so it is also going to be different. We are happy and excited for Jennie, now we just have one more child to marry off! Hopefully Sarah will find her Prince soon, (if she hasn't already?)I'll post pics of my sample cake, I am going to do one next week as a test, just so I'm totally prepared for the wedding day.

July 4th!

I am kinda slow getting this post up! We had a good time on the 4th. We (Chad,Sarah, Keleigh and me) we stayed home and Sarah bought a little pack of fireworks for Keleighs first 4th. She was not feeling well, she had the croup but we bbq'd and shot the fireworks and then watched movies! It was fun. Then on Sunday we went up to our cabin for a few days. Joe and Dar, Ethan and Jessie were there and it was a good time!
